CANFIT Youth/Adult eAdvocacy Training a Success!

Featured on the BHC Eastern Coachella Valley Newsletter - Vol. 7

Also mentioned on California Watch.

On Saturday, January 14, CANFIT wrapped up a two-day youth and adult training on E-advocacy.  It allowed the opportunity for adult partners to learn what young people will be working on in the coming months and how they can participate as adult allies.  E-advocacy is the use of internet tools and social media to communicate and promote advocacy.  The training was an introduction to more training youth will receive in the coming months.  Young people from Coachella Valley High School and Desert Mirage High School attended the training. They also represented different youth serving organizations.  At the conclusion of the training, the youth were very excited to get involved and begin their careers as youth advocates in their communities. A special thanks to Lloyd Nadal, Ruth Manzano and Hai Vo for the excellent training and Mecca Library for hosting us.
